UAV Solutions Inc. Introduces New Phoenix Unmanned Aerial System
JESSUP, MD – October 23, 2013 – UAV Solutions, Inc. announced today that its Phoenix 15 Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) provided live streaming video of simulated police encounters during a “Patriot Games” event held on Sunday, October 20 at The Historic Armory, Pennsylvania National Guard Headquarters in Philadelphia. The Patriot Games were a simulated hostile situation pitting one group of law enforcement officers against another.
The Phoenix 15 is a Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) Quad Rotor UAS, which weighs less than five pounds, fits in the palm of your hand and can be deployed in minutes – when time is of the essence – to provide users with instant situational awareness. This ultra-light UAS consists of an electro-optical aircraft, an infrared aircraft and a ground control station integrated into a tablet. The complete Phoenix system fits in a backpack specifically designed by Ehmke Manufacturing.
In addition to the Phoenix UAS, UAV Solutions also displayed the Allerion 25 VTOL Quad platform, a larger 25-lb.UAS equipped with an electro-optical camera and thermal imager in one gimbal. A tethered variant of the Allerion has a range of 250 ft., 12-hour endurance and rapid set-up capability. This tethered aircraft also has potential for the first responder community when more persistent surveillance is required.
The Phoenix and Allerion platforms are ideal for homeland security and military applications as well.

UAV Solutions, Inc. introduces tethered version of its Allerion 25 UAS
Jessup, MD – August 12, 2013 – UAV Solutions announced today that it has developed a tethered version of its Allerion 25 VTOL surveillance Unmanned Aerial System (UAS). The new tethered system, named Allerion 25-T, will be a valuable asset to police and fire fighters, border security agents and even the agriculture community with its range of 250 ft., rapid set-up capability, 12-hour endurance and modular electro-optical/infrared payload.
A tethered intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance UAS platform provides distinct advantages because it allows users to maintain physical control of the UAS, coupled with a direct command and control link via the tether, reducing the requirement for spectrum allocation and enabling secure data dissemination.
The next phase of the ISR variant Allerion 25-T will include the addition of a communications relay which will make the tethered Allerion ideal for use during natural disasters and events where communications are critical.
The Allerion 25 is a rugged VTOL Quad rotor UAS weighing less than 25 lbs. equipped with an electro-optical and thermal imager tilt gimbal dual capability camera. The system has been packaged in a custom enclosure that houses all required components in the trunk or bed of a vehicle.
